6 December, Srinagar: Sreenidi Deccan FC succumbed to a last minute goal by Real Kashmir, falling to a 1-2 defeat against the Snow Leopards at the TRC Stadium here on Tuesday in a Hero I-League Matchday 6 clash.
The Deccan Warriors started off brightly and took the lead in the 12th minute through defender Asheer Akhtar who tapped in a flicked on header from a corner at the back post.
The second half belonged to Real Kashmir who equalised through substitute Ibrahim Nurudeen’s penalty kick around the hour mark. The cold conditions and dry surface played their part and so did the raucous home spectators as they urged their team forward.
The fans got their money’s worth as Nurudeen smashed in the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time at the end of the game to keep Real Kashmir on top of the Hero I-League while Sreenidi Deccan stay in second place.
