13 September 2024, Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC is thrilled to announce the signing of talented winger Lalchungnunga Chhangte from Hyderabad FC. The Mizoram-born footballer joins Sreenidi Deccan FC after impressing in the domestic leagues and making a name for himself with standout performances at Hyderabad FC.

Chhangte, who began his football journey with Chhinga Veng FC in the Mizoram Premier League, rose through the ranks at Hyderabad FC, where he became an integral part of the club’s reserve team. In the 2021 season, he showcased his attacking prowess with seven goals and six assists, earning him the Player of the Tournament award at the CEM Gold Cup. His eye-catching performances secured him a call-up to Hyderabad FC’s first team ahead of the 2022 Durand Cup, where he made his debut and played a full match in a 2-0 win over TRAU FC.

Known for his blistering pace and versatility across multiple attacking positions, Chhangte is expected to add a new dimension to Sreenidi Deccan FC’s attacking lineup. His ability to consistently perform at a high level has been evident throughout his career, whether in the Mizoram Premier League, the Durand Cup, or the Indian Super League (ISL).
