Sunil Bathala, Center Defender, joined SDFC in December 2020. Born and raised in Kadapa, AP, he is the first player from the club to be signed to the senior team. He was part of the hugely successful Indian Under-16 Camp. SDFC has helped him to transform into a technically sound and emotionally balanced professional player. As part of the effort to encourage talent from Andhra Pradesh, SDFC has conducted trials in AP and selected Sunil and gave him world-class training, and mentorship, and prepared him to perform confidently in the prestigious leagues in India and the world.

He was selected to be part of the national leagues including, U15 sub-junior, U16 India, U17 Junior National ( BC Roy trophy), U19 SGFI National, and U19 Oorja National, among others. His selection to the I-League stands as a testament to our commitment to developing local talent and empowering them to reach career milestones. Furthermore, another 5 players from the Under-18 team have been integrated into the first team pre-season camp and are poised to be elevated to higher designations as players.

Sunil’s participation in the I-League clearly proves Sreenidi Deccan FC’s commitment to its Mission, Vision, and Values. We consistently work with the goal of developing world-class Telugu and Indian Players. With the refined quality of Telugu players being inducted into our top programs, we confidently look forward to witnessing the rise of many more Telugu players to the caliber of Sunil Bathala.
